What is this session about? 

This workshop is aimed at anyone whose role and decisions can impact how and who we recruit and select – hiring managers, recruiters, HR, policy makers etc. - anyone involved in the recruitment and selection process. “The way we have always done things” can lead to exclusion, even unintended, and cause us to miss much needed diversity of talent. Ensuring that our attraction, recruitment and selection processes are inclusive and free from bias enable us to recruit from the whole talent pool. Having an inclusive culture means we retain people when they are on board.

What will I achieve? 

This workshop will provide participants with:

• An understanding of how to build inclusive practice into all stages of the recruitment and selection process
• Skills for assessing current practices in your own business
• Tools and tips to make changes needed to promote and embed inclusive practices in your own ways of working
• Industry-specific good practice examples
• An understanding of the types of unconscious bias, and their impact on the recruitment process

What are the attendance requirements?  

Please arrive promptly and stay for the duration of the event.

To receive your CPD accreditation and for this to be tracked through your Supply Chain Sustainability School dashboard make sure your full name is reflected on your Zoom account when you join the session.

Please note, if you fail to meet the attendance requirements, unfortunately you will not be issued a CPD Certificate.

What are the technical requirements?  

You will need:  

• Internet connection 
• A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook) 
• Earphones/headphones/speakers (preferable) 
• A tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone to load facilitation tools
