EDI for Construction and Built Environment: Gaining Support and Recognition for your Business - Webinar
What is the session about?
The second in our ‘EDI for Construction and Built Environment’ series, this 1-hour webinar explores how organisations in the construction and built environment sector can access practical support, recognition and accreditation for their approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), also referred to as “Fairness, Inclusion and Respect” (FIR).
This is a standalone session - while it builds on themes explored earlier in this EDI webinar series, you do not need to have attended any previous sessions in this series to take part.
The session focuses on the external frameworks available to organisations at all stages of their FIR journey, from those beginning their work to those seeking formal recognition for progress already made.
Participants will be introduced to the work of the Irish Centre for Diversity (ICD) and the Investors in Diversity accreditation scheme, including how structured support and accreditation can help organisations demonstrate commitment, measure progress and gain recognition for inclusive workplace practices.
Speakers:
The session will feature Laura O’Donovan Calvert, Head of Business Development at the ICD. Laura has extensive experience mentoring senior leaders and guiding organisations at all stages of the Investors in Diversity journey to create more inclusive workplaces. She will be joined by Amy Martin, EDI Partner at John Sisk & Son, and Samuel Riggs, EDI Manager at Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail, who will share insights from their work leading EDI / FIR initiatives and the benefits of embedding inclusive practices in organisations.
