Annual Supply Chain Sustainability School Summit
Join Us for the Annual Supply Chain Sustainability Summit
We are excited to invite you to the Annual Supply Chain Sustainability School Summit on January 28th 2026 at at O'Reilly Hall, University College Dublin. This event is designed for everyone involved in the built environment, including all subcontractors and suppliers working in the construction, infrastructure, housing and facilities management supply chains.
“Collaborating on ESG Outcomes and Impact”
During the event we will be focussing on the E, the S and the G with insightful speakers, workshop-style sessions, panel discussions and input from major contractors and industry experts. Our agenda will drive collaboration and share new approaches to decarbonisation, EDI and the business benefits of sustainability.
We welcome Des O’Toole from Coillte for the Keynote Address. Des will speak about Coillte’s strategic development of home-grown timber products for the built environment, especially the innovation around timber engineering and his work to upskill the industry on timber use, and provide a regulatory framework which can accelerate the use of this highly sustainable material.
The “E”: Collaborating on Whole Life Carbon
Our “E” session focuses on Whole Life Carbon with presentations from IPUT, Roadstone and Kirby Group. Declan Kelly (Head of Development) joins from IPUT to present new projects in the Dublin area and their leading-edge work on reducing carbon emissions and maximising sustainability impact in all phases of asset construction and use. William Wilson (Sustainability Manager) from Roadstone will present on Roadstone’s sustainability journey – which is accelerating with ambitious climate targets and a clear focus on decarbonisation and circularity. William’s presentation will outline key innovations and technologies, including the development and practical use of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and carbon footprint reports, progress on the CO₂ Performance Ladder, and collaborative approaches that deliver measurable carbon savings. He will also share insights from Roadstone's Low Carbon Road trial. From Kirby Group, Jason Doherty (Head of Sustainability) will provide an overview of their sustainability strategy and link to carbon reduction, along with their sustainability training plan and the company’s progress on sustainable procurement which is driving carbon reduction through their supply chain.
The “S”: Achieving Fairness, Inclusion and Respect
The “S” session introduces Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) in the construction industry. Dana James-Edwards (Head of FIR at the School) will lead, supported by Amy Martin (EDI Partner) at Sisk and Samuel Riggs (EDI Manager) at Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail. This interactive session will interpret the importance of FIR in our workplaces and how barriers to change can be overcome, even with limited resources and budgets.
The “G”: Business Benefits of Sustainability Governance
The “G” session is led by Lorraine McCann, MD of Sustainable Futures at KPMG. Lorraine brings a wealth of experience from providing sustainability assurance and sustainability advisory services to a range of industry sectors including construction, retail, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, healthcare, technology, transport, agriculture and financial services. Lorraine will update the Summit on Irish and EU policy including key legislation such as CSRD. Lorraine will facilitate a panel (featuring Glenveagh, Dublin Port, Obelisk, Park Developments and BAM) to understand how their work on sustainability has created a range of business opportunities and benefits for their organisations.
We will provide all refreshments and lunch at the Summit. Whatever your role and irrespective of the size of your business, you’ll have the chance to connect, network, learn and collaborate toward a more sustainable future.
