What is this session about? 

At this Virtual Conference we will discuss the key challenges facing our industry on its journey to net zero carbon and explore the big solutions needed to deliver on our shared targets.

The aim of this training session is to promote best practice and new innovations that will reduce carbon emissions both in the construction and operation of buildings and assets. We will demonstrate how the construction sector in Ireland is accelerating towards net zero, and how your organisation can contribute to our sector’s transformation to a net zero future.

The agenda will be based around major challenges and key solutions for infrastructure, construction, facilities management, and housing. Presentations will include information on timber solutions (e.g. glulam), Passivhaus Standard, whole life carbon, zero carbon plant/transport solutions, and reduction of embodied carbon in construction materials.
